APS AK-74 Blowback AEG (AKS 74) The AK-74 airsoft gun by APS is based off the standard Soviet infantry rifle. This edition features real steel lower receiver, reciever cover, stock and barrel. The handguard is a beautiful cherry wood sealed in polyurethane for protection. Using a unique mechbox design, normal operation produces a small recoil effect to simulate the use of a real firearm. The magazine that comes with the rifle is APS proprietary AK-74 600 round High Capacity mag. You can only use APS AK-74 magazines with this gun. The battery compartment is located underneath the receiver cover of the rifle. Push the button located on the back of the cover and swing it out of the way. The battery is going to fit just above the mechbox in the space provided. Be careful and make sure that all the wires are carefully stowed so that they are not pinched when you close it back up. Note: you can only use APS AK-74 magazines with this rifle, no other ones work properly!
