Maxpedition Rollypoly Dump Pouch Review

There are few companies that I look forward to seeing new products from more than Maxpedition. In an industry that is plagued with copycat designs and a scale of innovation at the same level of dental adhesives, the people at Maxpedition offer up a welcome alternative. The vast majority of their product line is able to fill a wide range of uses in an equal number of enviroments. In order to do this, they insist each and every product they sell lives up to their title as "Hard Use Gear". Maxpedition includes a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer's defects just in case something does slip through their strict quality control. It really isn't a surprise that Maxpedition Hard Use Gear has had such a huge rise in popularity over the past few years.

One of the most versatile pieces of gear from Maxpedition is their Rollypoly Folding Dump Pouch. The most common job I see the Rollpoly used for is a spent magazine pouch (aka dump pouch). In both the real world and airsoft you want to keep up with your empty magazines. The idea of a dump pouch is to give the shooter a temporary place to quickly stone their spent magazines during an engagement. Then as time permits, the shooter moves the spent mags back to his load bearing rig of choice.

The problem with most traditional dump pouches is their size. They are big bulky bags that, on most people, sit empty and unused. In the real world not every soldier and officer must discharge their weapon every time they gear up. Because of high capacity magazines and various game parameters the same can be true for many airsofters. It is hard to justify the space a big dump pouch takes up and the inconvenience it causes.

The low profile Maxpedition Rollypoly Folding Dump Pouch is the perfect answer to this problem. It takes up very little room on a modular vest or belt. Then if the need arises a shooter can quickly unfold the pouch, stash the mag, reload, and get back into the fight. The Medium size Rollypoly will fit up to 7 M16 mags. It will also work great for pistol mags, shotgun shells, and various other rifle magazines.

The same features that make the Rollypoly a great dump pouch make it an equally innovative expandable storage/evidence pouch. It sits quietly and out of the way until the need to carry some small, unexpected items pops up. They are great to have on the back of your belt as well as on the sides of your pack ready to convert you into a pack mule.
