Lithium-ion Polymer batteries are great for hard shooting guns, but they are fickle creatures when it comes to charging and discharging. Li-Po owners must beware of the dreaded marshmallow effect. If a Li-Po battery is discharged to below 3 volts, then the cells become damaged. During the charging cycle the battery will begin to puff up like a marshmallow in a microwave and possibly explode. This Li-Po alarm sounds audibly and the LEDs flash when the voltage begins to drop close to 3 volts so you can take it off the dis-charger. Simply plug it into the extra port on your battery and begin the cycle. This is a must have for any Li-Po battery owner!
